Elk Rapids gears up for Harbor Days celebration

ELK RAPIDS — Harbor Days begins on Wednesday, Aug. 5 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 8. The festival schedule is jam packed with activities for all ages. 

Headlining the three-day festival is Arnold’s Amusements Carnival, sponsored and presented by the Elk Rapids Lions Club. The carnival, which is set up downtown in the Cedar Street Parking Lot, will be running Thursday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Other activities over the course of the festival include a group guided meditation, yoga on the beach, an early bird paddle, car show, ice cream eating contest, a performance by Elk Lake Community Choir, an Inland Seas Discovery Tour aboard a tall ship schooner, hole-in-one contest, a Fun Friday event featuring a special mermaid guest, pet show and more.
