The Kalkaska County Genealogical Society is now meeting on the third Monday of each month at 3 p.m. The next meeting date is Monday, Aug. 21 at the Kalkaska County Library, 247 S. Cedar Street. Are you curious about your family roots? Want to learn new research skills, or how to evaluate genealogical software programs? Thanks to today’s online digitized resources, the new genealogist can do a lot of work from home. For the first time, genealogy is accessible to people with the time limits of career and school.
