Program to Focus on Detecting Invasive Species

Grass River Natural Area will host a free program Friday, Sept. 26, on how residents can help detect invasive species in Michigan forests. The session, “Eyes on the Forest,” runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will cover community science tools for reporting invasive pests and plants. Topics include hemlock woolly adelgid, spotted lanternfly and five priority invasive plants. Participants will also practice using online apps to gather data in the field.
