Green Elk Rapids to Host Free ‘Extraordinary Caterpillar’ Screening

Green Elk Rapids will host a free screening of “The Extraordinary Caterpillar” at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Elk Rapids Cinema Theater. The 60-minute documentary explores the important role caterpillars play in maintaining healthy ecosystems, using 4K cinematography and close-up footage captured in meadows, city parks and backyard gardens. Designed for viewers of all ages, the film also offers practical ways families can support local wildlife in their communities. Admission is free.
