1942 Ford M4A3 Sherman Tank Rededication Ceremony

The South Boardman American Legion Post 463 will be hosting the Legion Hall and 1942 Ford M4A3 Sherman Tank Rededication Ceremony on Saturday, September 2 from 11 a.m to 11 p.m. This is an all day event starting from 11 a.m. to noon, with the dedictication and opening ceremony keynote presentation by a Ford Motor Company representative. From 12 p.m. 5 p.m, there will be a BBQ cookout fundraiser with burgers, brats and all meat hotdogs served with chips and beverages along with games and music, old time carnival games for kids along with face painting. From 1 p.m, to 4 p.m, is a cornhole tournament with cash prize payouts for the top three places, a cake decorating competition and cake walk fundraiser. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. is the best berry pie competition along with vendor tables and silent auction which will go to 6 p.m. plus ongoing video presentation of the WWII “In The Service of America”. In the late afternoon will be live music and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on site food will be available for purchase from Yankee Boy Restaurant. There will be all day raffle tickets winners drawn at 8 p.m. with a $100 bonus for being present at time of drawing. To end the evening from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. there will be a dance with live music from Lonesome Crow which is a classic rock and country band.
