Linda Gallagher, Contributing Writer

CENTRAL LAKE – For those who love Christmas and everything about it, they will likely enjoy this year's Fourth of July celebration in Central Lake, which from fireworks to the annual parade will have a theme of "Christmas In July."

"There's lots to see, do and enjoy over the Fourth of July in Central Lake," said Cherie Fuss of the Central Lake Chamber of Commerce. "We've got a very full schedule of events for everyone to enjoy."

One of the biggest and most popular Independence Day celebrations in northern Michigan, the annual summer celebration will kick off first thing in the morning on Monday, July 2, with a community kayak paddle at 8:30 a.m. at Thurston Park, sponsored by Paddle Antrim as a precursor to the annual Paddle Antrim in September.
