Veterans group receives donations from casinos

SOUTH BOARDMAN — Recently, 22 2 None, a local non-profit organization for veterans, was given money from two northern Michigan casinos. 

Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos has donated more $10,000 to 22 2 None.  The money was raised through their Veterans Day Charity Slot Tournament and their monthly Pints for Patriots (where a portion of every beer sale in November is donated).

Additionally, Leelanau Sand Casino and Turtle Creek Casino collected more than $5,000 through the Cash In On Kindness guest collection campaign, with guests donating their change, totaling over $10,000 to support veterans.  Both casinos donated in support of their fundraising to raise awareness and prevent veteran suicide.
