Trojans shake off fatigue to beat Forest Area

FIFE LAKE — Three games and three bus trips made for a long week for the Central Lake girls basketball team.

The Trojans seemed to show the effects of the busy stretch of basketball on the road early in Friday’s game against Forest Area, but they shook it off to come away with a 52-36 victory.

Central Lake missed a number of quality shots in the first half, but was able to take a 20-10 lead into the half anyway, leaning on the team’s defense while the offense tried to get into a rhythm.
