Trojans repeat as boys basketball district champions

CENTRAL LAKE — Forget about any of Central Lake’s players being alive the last time the Trojans won back-to-back boys basketball district titles.

Head coach Donovan Eggleston was only four years old at the time.

Central Lake repeated as boys basketball district champions for the first time since 1986-87, breaking that 32-year drought when it edged Ellsworth 77-76 in a thrilling championship battle between the two Antrim County rivals on Friday.
