State of the art: New Kalkaska video scoreboard installed before home opener

KALKASKA — Perhaps the best high school scoreboard in northern Michigan was unveiled when the Kalkaska football team hosted Elk Rapids in the Blazers’ home opener on Friday night.
The Daktronic board, which replaced the faded one in the southern end of the football field at Kalkaska High School, was installed in a matter of days after workers started digging holes for the posts prior to Labor Day weekend.
The massive scoreboard brings stadium quality sound and state of the art video capabilities to Kalkaska games.
