Rubber Ducky festival cancelled, virtual race to be held

BELLAIRE - On Monday, June 22, the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce announced that, after reviewing the results of a survey conducted with chamber members, residents of the area, and the public at large, the 33rd annual Bellaire Rubber Ducky Festival parade and race would be held as scheduled.
Just one week later, that all changed when the Chamber announced on Monday, June 29, that the 2020 festival has been cancelled.
"As Rubber Ducky is one of Chamber's largest fundraising events, cancelling the festival parade and physical Rubber Ducky race down the Intermediate River was a very hard decision for our board to make." said Bellaire Chamber Executive Director Sue Palmisano.
