HUDSONVILLE — Ellsworth’s Isaiah Romeyn and Josh Light received all-state status at Saturday’s Division 4 track and field state finals, each finishing in the top eight on the state’s biggest stage.

Romeyn took fourth in the 1,600 in a personal best time of 4:31.86. Light, meanwhile, was seventh in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.9. Romeyn’s performance in the 1,600 came four days after he set a personal best time of 4:34.59 at the Record-Eagle Honor Roll meet, and he was able to shave close to three seconds off that against the best in the state. Light’s final time in the 110 hurdles was his second sub 16-second performance of the day. Earlier, he had set a personal best with a run of 15.83 in the preliminaries.
