Road Commission ready for winter weather

MANCELONA – Although he's hoping for another relatively mild winter, like last winter, Antrim County Road Commission Manager Burt Thompson said last week that his crews are once again ready for snow and ice.

“So far, Mother Nature’s been pretty kind to us,” Thompson said. “But in case she’s got any tricks up her sleeve, which she often has at this time of the year, we’re ready to roll.”

What will be rolling will be a full crew of truck drivers, including five new employees to fill and enhance the crew, the road commission manager said.
