Organizers move forward with plans for 84th NTF
KALKASKA — Festival-goers can put the 84th National Trout Festival back on their calendars, after organizers recently announced plans to move forward with the festival set for April 21-25 in Kalkaska.
NTF Committee members met on Jan. 25 to decide the fate of this year’s festival, waiting to see conditions and possible governmental regulations related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We talked about it extensively,” said Diana Needham, committee chairwoman. “We’re going to do what we can to have the festival. For right now, we’re going to go for it.”
Admittedly, however, the festival will be different than in past years, depending on what measures, such as social distancing guidelines, are in place at the time of the event.
