Organizers gear up for annual powwow, rededication at Springfield Twp. Park

There will again be plenty of colorful pageantry at the annual Ah-Go-Sah Trail Traditional Powwow & Rededication celebration scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Springfield Township Park and Recreation Area, located at the intersection of Lund and Creighton roads. The event will get underway at 11 a.m.
SPRINGFIELD TWP. – The beat of the drums and chants of tribal singers will soon ripple through the Springfield Township Park & Recreation Area, as organizers and supporters gear up for the annual Ah-Go-Sah Trail Traditional Powwow & Rededication celebration on Saturday, Sept. 2.
Hark Parkey, chairman of the township park and recreation committee, said that organizers are still working to add to the list of items that will be raffled off at the community celebration, as well as collect potential donations.
