NTF organizers seek additional volunteers
KALKASKA — With the 84th National Trout Festival about three weeks away, organizers are still hoping more volunteers will sign up to help out at the spring festival set for April 21-25.
According to NTF Committee chairwoman Diana Needham, the festival committee is usually assisted by up to 100 volunteers each year. But, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are hoping to add even more to the ranks this spring.
“Yes, we are,” Needham said. “It’s just we need the extra people to wander around and hand out masks, and so on.”
