More on gun ownership reform
Mr. Seman responded to my letter with a concept with which I agree and that is to limit the number of rounds. Rather than the 6 rounds he suggested, I would recommend the 10 rounds that the State of California has enacted. In addition, the parents of a minor should be responsible to keep their firearms secure in such a manner that they are not accessible to their children. Should they not secure their firearms or provide their children access to their firearms, which their children then use in a shooting incident, they should bear full responsibility for their children’s’ action and be prosecuted as if they had committed the act themselves. I agree with his position on body armor, with the exception of individuals in high profile or secure positions who may be subject to attack.
