Mancelona woman dies from two-car collision

MANCELONA — A 47-year-old Mancelona woman died on Friday after she lost control of the vehicle she was driving and crashed into another oncoming vehicle.
Mellisa Lynn Camacci was traveling eastbound on Mancelona Road around 11:55 a.m. on Friday when she lost control of her Chevy Impala and began fishtailing as she was going around the curve east of Soderquist Road. Camacci’s car crossed into the oncoming lane, where Kern Thomas Radtke and his wife Robin Venita L. Radtke of Gaylord were coming up the same curve in their Ford F150 truck. Radtke saw Camacci’s car losing control and tried to avoid a collision but hit the passenger side of the Impala, severely damaging and disabling both vehicles.
Camacci was unconscious and unresponsive, not breathing when contact was almost immediately made with her.
