Mancelona sweeps NLC champion Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH — Mancelona’s offense came to life in the sixth inning of the first game of a baseball doubleheader against Ellsworth on Monday and it only gained strength from there as the Ironmen swept the Lancers.

The Ironmen caught fire after the two teams headed to the sixth tied 2-2, scoring seven runs in that inning on the way to a 9-3 win. The hit and run parade kept going in the second game as the Ironmen won 18-2.
