Mancelona boys win Ski Valley cross country title

MANCELONA — The Mancelona boys cross country team won its first Ski Valley Conference championship in seven years on Wednesday, Oct. 10, finishing 11 points ahead of runner up Johannesburg-Lewiston.

Inland Lakes won the girls championship with a 14-point difference over the host Lady Ironmen.

While Joburg’s boys had three of the top 10 finishers, including overall winner Carlos Gascho (17:06), Mancelona put seven runners in the top 15, including five consecutive finishers between 11^th and 15^th place.
