Little Old Women - A look at New Year’s past and present

Here we are at the starting gate of another new year; nearly the 89th new beginning for me. I, too, agonize over the disturbing state of our nation and the world, but firmly believing that good will always triumph over evil. I also maintain that we must keep our balance by staying in touch with the lighter side of life.

So what am I thinking of when I look back over New Year’s celebrations of the past? Kissing, that’s what! I’m a bit embarrassed at how much I miss all those kisses when the clock strikes midnight.

I saw a famous actor interviewed last year by a puzzled anchor who asked why the actor, given his history of multiple unsuccessful marriages, would once again marry and father children.
