Lancers wins Northern Lakes Conference title
ELLSWORTH — Win No. 13 in a row was not unlucky for the Ellsworth boys basketball team.
In fact, it brought good fortune to the Lancers, who won the Northern Lakes Conference championship after beating Alba 71-28 on Thursday.
The Lancers’ 13th consecutive victory was well on its way to being secured before the end of the first period. Ellsworth broke open a double-digit lead after an 11-0 run midway through the period and finished a solid opening quarter with a steal and a layup at the buzzer by Alex Adams to hold a 21-6 advantage.
