Lady Lancers capture Northern Lakes Conference title
EAST JORDAN — The Ellsworth girls cross country team repeated as Northern Lakes Conference champions on Thursday, putting four runners in the top 10 to edge Mackinaw City by six points.
Ellsworth scored 30 points, with Mackinaw City scoring 36 and Wolverine 57.
Leading the way for Ellsworth was Maia Romeyn, who won the league championship with a time of 21:37. Behind her was Emma DeYoung in fifth (26:48), Olivia Strange in sixth (27:37), Keira Dulaney in seventh (27:47), Kylie Fuller in 13th (31:29), Emily Belanger in 15th (33:02) and Jasmine Adams in 19th (46:26).
Mackinaw City won the boys title, scoring 18 points. Wolverine was second with 43.
