Lady Eagles beat Central Lake to clinch share of SVC

BELLAIRE — In front of a good turnout for Bellaire’s Senior Night, the Lady Eagles girls basketball team didn’t disappoint the home crowd, defeating Central Lake 59-18 on Monday to clinch a share of the Ski Valley Conference title.

It was Bellaire’s second straight league crown.

“Considering how competitive the Ski Valley is that is an impressive feat, and I am happy for the girls,” said Bellaire coach Brad Fischer. “Once again the girls displayed what team basketball looks like.  I am running out of ways to describe this team and how unselfish they are and how high of a basketball IQ they have.  Easy group to coach and all credit goes to them for buying in.  It was also neat to see the turnout on Senior Night.  We had a pretty full gym, staying under the allowable threshold.  The community support is awesome, and we cannot thank our fans enough.”
