KCRC hosts township, county officials on tour of local projects
KALKASKA COUNTY – As the manager of the Kalkaska County Road Commission, John Rogers has an in-depth knowledge of the good, the bad and the ugly, as it relates to the hundreds of miles of county roads.
After all, it’s his job.
“I know the condition of every road in the county,” Rogers said. “I lose sleep thinking about it.”
The problem often has been that not everyone shares the knowledge of Rogers and members of the KCRC, as well as that of the staff and drivers of the county agency. So, in order to close the information gap, the KCRC hosted a pair of bus tours for local, county and state officials on Tuesday, May 9.
With the Kalkaska Area Transportation Authority donating a bus, officials toured the southern part of the county in the morning and the northern portion that afternoon.
