Kalkaska High School alum pens children's book
CHARLEVOIX — Riddle: How can a freak running accident in Florida lead to a Michigan educator and consultant helping 4-year-olds and writing stories.
Answer: Dog Park Days, a new book written by Gwen Catt, a graduate of Kalkaska High School and now a resident of both Bonita Springs, Fla., and Charlevoix.
Dog Park Days depicts the adventures of dogs interacting at a dog park and the characters are real dogs that frequent the park near Catt’s Florida home. It focuses on how similar a dog park is to a playground at a school; everyone enjoying, playing in various ways and being individuals.
