Kalkaska Bacchanalia holding virtual auction in 2021

KALKASKA – The annual Kalkaska Bacchanalia event that raises money to support the Kalkaska County Fair will consist of a virtual auction in 2021 and has a new primary sponsor.

North River Vodka, which is distilled in Traverse City from potatoes grown by Iott Seed Farms in Kalkaska, will be the primary sponsor of the 2021 Kalkaska Bacchanalia Virtual Auction. The Bacchanalia Committee chose to hold this year’s fundraising event as an online auction from July 18 to Aug. 1 and looks forward to returning to a live tasting format in 2022.

“The Bacchanalia committee is excited to have North River Vodka on board and is looking forward to our first virtual auction,” committee co-chairperson Linda Gilson said. “We’re looking forward to returning to our traditional format next year, but we think a live auction will provide a great fund-raising opportunity for us while giving people in Kalkaska and across the state an opportunity to bid on some fabulous items.”
