Ironmen snap losing streak versus Bellaire

MANCELONA — The Mancelona boys basketball team snapped a streak of 14 straight losses to Bellaire on Wednesday, Dec. 12 when the Ironmen beat the Eagles 55-42.

Mancelona outscored Bellaire 38-14 in the second and third quarters to take control of the game and earn its first victory against Bellaire since a 49-47 win on Feb. 23, 2011.

“When we got out and ran in transition we were tough to stop,” said Mancelona coach Brian Sheridan. “When they got us playing in a half-court game, they gave us some trouble.”
