Ingersoll scores 1,000th point in Warriors’ win

BIG RAPIDS — Friday was a milestone night for Forest Area senior Chase Ingersoll.

Ingersoll scored his 1,000^th career point during the Warriors 84-58 boys basketball win against Big Rapids Crossroads, reaching the landmark accomplishment on a basket in the first quarter.

Ingersoll’s score was part of an exceptional start to the game by the Warriors, who led 22-7 after the first eight minutes. Forest Area was never threatened in the win, leading 40-26 at the half and 68-40 at the end of three periods as the Warriors’ offense was in top form.
