Ingersoll is Review Boys Basketball Player of the Year

REGION — Over his four-year career Chase Ingersoll solidified himself as perhaps the greatest boys basketball player to ever suit up for Forest Area High School.

As far as scoring goes, nobody was better than Ingersoll, who became the school’s all-time leading scorer midway through the season and ended his career with 1,504 points. Ingersoll was more than just a scorer, however, with his ability to run the Warriors’ offense being a big part in their ability to put up boatloads of points this season. He could break opponents’ pressure defense. He found open teammates for good looks at the basket. He provided essential leadership as a team captain. He was the whole package.

All those facets played a tremendous role in Forest Area’s success this season, where the Warriors improved their win total by 10 games and bettered their standing in the Ski Valley Conference by five places.
