Guggemos, McClure qualify for Division 3 state finals

GAYLORD — For the second consecutive year the Kalkaska and Mancelona boys cross country teams qualified a runner for the Division 3 state finals.

Kalkaska freshman Tyler Guggemos and Mancelona sophomore Tyler McClure both earned a trip to the state meet after finishing among the top 15 runners at Saturday’s Division 3 regional race held at Michaywe Pines Golf Course.

Guggemos’ time of 17:15 put him in fifth, while McClure ran a 17:29 to finish 11^th.
