Groundbreaking Ceremony

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center is pleased to celebrate the start of construction on our new 15,000 square foot Acute Care Pavilion. The 2-story addition will contain Emergency and Inpatient Services.  The ED will be comprised of 11 total patient care rooms: 2 Isolation treatment rooms that have negative air pressure, staff donning and doffing areas, and improved safety for both patients and staff; 2 Trauma rooms with glass view doors with adequate room to safely move around all sides of the patient; 5 treatment rooms for general ED needs; and 2 low stimulation/low ligature Behavioral Health rooms. The Acute Care/Medical Surgical unit will be on the second floor of the new building and expand from its current 4 rooms to 6 rooms.  There will be 4 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms with two of the private rooms having negative air pressure capability.
