Gravesite Ceremony for Civil War Veteran in Antrim County
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Robert Finch Camp #14, will conduct the Last Civil War Veteran buried in Antrim County ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery (south) in Mancelona at the gravesite of Pvt Eugene Owen of 1 Company, 177th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Pvt. Owen’s family, several of the area’s Veterans Organization including the American Legion George Puckett Post #264 of Mancelona and the Antrim County community at large will be in attendance. All are welcome.
