Forest Area gets big night from Ingersoll in victory
MESICK — Chase Ingersoll had a career night in lifting Forest Area to a 46-32 football win over Mesick on Friday night.
Ingersoll accounted for five touchdowns, including four rushing and one on a 40-yard interception return. He didn’t complete any of the three passes he threw but he more than made up for it by rushing for 218 yards on just 15 carries.
Eric Burke also scored for the Warriors (2-0), part of a 161-yard, 40-carry performance for the Warriors’ halfback. Lake Barksdale chipped in 31 yards rushing and Lane Lindsay had 18 yards on the ground for a potent Forest Area offense.
