Ellsworth boys finish first at House on the Hill Invitational
ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth cross country teams represented well at the Lancers’ home meet, the House on the Hill Invitational on Saturday, with the boys taking first and the girls second among the small schools taking part in the meet.
The Lancers’ boys had the top three finishers in the small school group and four in the top 25. Isaiah Romeyn was third overall in 17:31, while Robbie Wise came in seventh (18:07), Caleb Godwin was 13th (18:36), Richard Adams 24th (19:18) and Graham Oliver 37th (20:04).
Ellsworth scored 16 points, finishing well in front of Petoskey St. Michael (55) and Bellaire (85).
St. Ignace took first from the Lancers on the girls side, edging them 35-40. Bellaire finished fourth (94) and Central Lake was fifth (98).
