BROOKLYN — Ellsworth’s boys cross country team recorded the best state finals finish in school history when the Lancers took fourth on Saturday at the Division 4 state meet at Michigan International Speedway.

Ellsworth scored 255 points at the meet, putting it 25 points ahead of Ubly, which took fifth. Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart won the title with 126 points, followed by Pottersville (185) and Beal City (204).
