Elks fall in soccer district final

GLEN LAKE- Elk Rapids saw its soccer season come to an end in the district final on Friday, losing to Leland in a 1-0 battle in Glen Lake.

The two teams were both ranked in Division 4, Leland coming in at number two, and the Elks at number nine. Leland had defeated Elk Rapids 2-1 in a close contest back in August. Leland scored the game’s lone goal midway through the first half. Neither team would score again, as the game became a defensive battle.
