Deputies arrest Indiana woman after chase, bomb scare
KALKASKA — After a chase involving several local and state law enforcement agencies and a bomb scare, an Indiana woman was taken into custody on Monday morning, April 12, and was awaiting arraignment on charges, according to the Kalkaska County Sheriff Department.
In a prepared statement, Sheriff Patrick Whiteford said the chase and arrest occurred after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Lodi area in southern Kalkaska County at around 10 a.m. Monday.
“Deputies responded and, upon attempting to make contact, the red pickup fled northbound on M-66,” Whiteford said. “Deputies, joined by Kalkaska Department of Public Safety officers, pursued the vehicle onto eastbound M-72 for approximately two miles.”
