Civil War Ceremony
On May 28 at 11 a.m. the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Robert Finch Camp #14 will conduct the last Civil War Veteran Buried in Antrim County ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona at the gravesite of Pvt. Eugene Owen of 1 Company 177th Regiment of the Ohio Voluntary Infantry. Pvt. Owen’s family, several of the area’s veterans organizations and the Antrim County community will be in attendance along with some U.S. State and local political figures.
