BOC chair says he won't run again

BELLAIRE — After a full day of business matters, as well as the approval of an increase in employee wages, Antrim County's Board of Commissioners were berated for their behavior during the Commissioners' meeting of Thursday, Dec. 3 by an obviously upset Ed Boettcher, who said he will not run again for the position of board chair.

Boettcher's comments came toward the close of the meeting in his monthly report to the nine-member group. 

"I've let everybody know that I will not be running for chairman again, but I just want to speak towards respect," he said, going on to make remarks about comments made "callously" and "flippantly" by Commissioners and how they are interpreted by employees.
