BOC agrees to purchase gym equipment for Kaliseum
KALKASKA – Those looking to work out at the Kaliseum Recreation Complex could soon have some new equipment to use at the county-owned facility.
The Kalkaska County Board of Commissioners at their regular meeting July 19 approved the purchase of a more than $99,000 gym equipment package. The purchase would be funded by a five-year loan, with payments not to exceed $2,000 per month.
“We were a payment shopper more than anything else,” said Kaliseum Director Krysztof Oliwa. “We’re getting a good deal.
“This is professional-grade equipment. I expect a lot more people will be using it,” he added. “It should last a long time.”
