Big day for McClure, Alfred at Mancelona Invite

MANCELONA — Seniors Tyler McClure and Jayden Alfred each recorded a pair of first-place finishes to lead the Mancelona boys track team and Friday’s Mancelona Invitational.

McClure was first in the 800 (2:05.96) and the 3,200 (10:27.34), while also picking up a second-place finish in the 1,600 (4:40.49). Alfred won both sprinting events, taking the 100 in 11.51 and the 200 in 23.36. He also placed second in the high jump (6-2) and the long jump (20-1.5).

Mancelona’s team finished in third place with 74 points. Kingsley was first with 145. Forest Area was 11^th with 14 points, Ellsworth took 12^th with 10 points and Bellaire took 13^th with 9 points.
