Bellaire outlasts Central Lake in volleyball thriller

CENTRAL LAKE — It is possible for an early September conference volleyball match to feel like the postseason.

That much was apparent on Thursday when Bellaire and Central Lake went back and forth, down to the wire.

In a dramatic contest that was hanging in the balance right to the end, Bellaire survived Central Lake’s comeback attempt for a 3-2 win, rallying for a 15-13 victory in the decisive fifth set after dropping the previous two games.
