Bellaire continues trend in the right direction against Trojans

CENTRAL LAKE — Considering how it has been playing for the past two weeks, Bellaire’s performance against county rival Central Lake wasn’t surprising.
The Eagles, who have been trending upward since a 1-8 start to the year, won for the second time in the last three games when they controlled the Trojans in a 58-42 victory.
“I’m proud of them,” said Bellaire coach Paul Koepke. “It started with hard work and defense. Once we got that figured out, now we’re trying to get the offense some mojo. I think we’ll be a tough out going forward.”
