REGION — Bellaire senior guard Keagan Fischer was named to the All-Ski Valley Conference first team after leading the Eagles on the court in the 2018-19 season.

Fischer, who was a second team all-conference pick as a junior, helped the Eagles finish as runners up in the league and win a second straight district championship. Bellaire fell to Mio in the regional semifinals.

Fischer was part of a pretty diverse first team as five schools were represented among the six players. League champion Gaylord St. Mary, which won the conference without losing a game, and won district and regional championships before losing to Fowler in the Division 4 quarterfinals, led the way with two players on the first team in Liv Jeffers and Megan Grusczynski. Johannesburg-Lewiston’s Sydney Townsend, Onaway’s Kennedy Crawford and Inland Lakes’ Mara Clancy were the other members of the first team.
