Animal shelter hoping to find a home for cat and kittens trapped in a sealed box

BELLAIRE — It was no way to become a mother — alone in a sealed, airless, dark box. 

But that was where the little black and white tabby cat had her litter of seven kittens — in a box tossed to the side of a road. 

Fortunately, with the help of a kind and caring woman and the Antrim County Animal Control, both the mama cat and her surviving kittens now have a chance at life.
