Village agency takes another step toward providing 24-7 coverage

KALKASKA — The village president of Kalkaska has made it a goal to provide local residents with 24-7 police coverage.

And, the Kalkaska Department of Public Safety will soon take another step in making Village President Harley Wales' goal a reality.

Village officials announced at the Kalkaska Village Council’s regular monthly meeting Monday, July 13, that the KDPS would soon be officially hiring its fifth full-time officer.
