KALKASKA – Two Grand Traverse County residents were officially charged in the death of a downstate man on Monday, Nov. 28, according to reports from the Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Department.

Terrance Jordan, 36, of Traverse City and Jason Morgan, 35, of Kingsley were arraigned in the 87th District Court before Judge Lynn Buday during a hearing Monday. The two now face felony charges of open murder and armed robbery in the death of 42-year-old Brodrick Albert Ward, a resident of the metro-Detroit community of Inkster.

KCSD officials were reportedly alerted to the death of a black male at a residence on Gonyer Road in Springfield Township shortly after 5 p.m. on Nov. 21.

Ward’s body was discovered by relatives who, after being unable to contact Ward, drove up and found him at the Fife Lake home, according to police reports.
