Sylvia Carol Ebaugh-Schweigel

Sylvia Carol Ebaugh-Schweigel, 77, passed on to eternal life with her family at her side. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Thomas Schweigel.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her first husband John P. Ebaugh; brother, Ronald Sadowski (Nancy, still living); and sister, Susan Corrigan.
She was the loving mother of John Ebaugh (Kyle), Karen Ciambelli (Joseph), Julie Whitmore (Steven), Kenneth Ebaugh (Sarah), Teri Rayner (Jeffery), and stepmother of Linda Muehl (Keith), Barbara Ryan (Christopher) and Sandra Morris (Roger).
Sylvia leaves behind 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren: Kathryn Rice (Justin), Kendall and Anna Ebaugh; Christian and Morgan Ciambelli; Brandon, Jacob and Alyssa Whitmore; Michael, Emily, Matthew and Allison Ebaugh; Austin Rayner; a great granddaughter, Regan Rice; and a soon to be great-grandson, Logan Mesaros.
Her musical talents have touched many lives over the past 50 years – from teaching music at Shrine Grade School, neighborhood sing-alongs, and numerous parish organist assignments in both the Kalkaska and Detroit areas. Her talents were widely known and loved.
Memorial visitation will take place Friday, Aug. 9 form 4-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (four blocks east of Woodward) in Royal Oak. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Memorial Mass at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica.
A commemorative mass celebrating her life will be held in Kalkaska at St. Mary of the Woods Parish at a later date.
She will be laid to rest with her late husband, John, at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills.
