Side Bar - Local clerks prepare for busy Election Day

Unless you have been living in a tent staked out somewhere on the cold Steppes of Outer Mongolia for the past year, you don’t need me to tell you how very important it is for you to get out and vote this next Tuesday, Nov. 6. In terms of partisan frenzy, it is shaping up to be one of the more interesting mid-term elections we have seen in a long time.

This election is not one for which voters seem to exhibit any kind of ambivalence toward. They are hoping and praying for either a blue wave or for a red wave, with a passionate enthusiasm that slams the door on any willingness to accept the possibility of splitting the difference.

The House, the Senate, governorships, state legislatures – they’re all up for grabs and each side wants it all now, more than ever, it seems.
